“The Compass” is Somatica’s flagship project, developed as a practical tool for self-regulation and emotional containment during high-intensity traumatic events over extended periods.

The unique Compass model helps in understanding the reactions of the nervous system and emotions, providing practical tools for transitioning between routine and emergency situations, while maintaining mental, emotional, physical, and energetic integrity.
Somatic resilience refers to a person’s ability to cope with strong emotions, stresses, and traumas through awareness and inclusion of body sensations and physiological reactions. When an individual possesses somatic resilience, they can experience and contain difficult emotional situations without becoming overwhelmed or dissociating, and they can return to normal functioning more quickly and effectively. Therefore, the Compass serves as a personal orientation map—applicable to both adults and children—and provides tools for navigation.
The qualities of somatic resilience include the ability to identify, process, and recover from challenging or stressful emotional situations by utilizing internal resources, understanding the body’s reactions to trauma and stress, and employing self-regulatory actions adapted to the context. These qualities manifest in the ability to regulate the nervous system, bring it back into balance, release trapped nervous energy, and allow the physiological system to return to a state of calm and security.
In our vision, the nervous system of every individual—whether man, woman, boy, or girl—operates in coherence and balance. It can release trapped nervous energy and restore the body and mind to a state of readiness, calmness, and self-containment, both in complex war situations and in everyday functioning—from routine to emergency and back again.
The Compass is lead by a team of 15 experienced lecturers. As part of building a personalized program, we match the goals and needs of the group/individual to the appropriate lecturer.

Project Goals
Somatic Awareness
Encouraging somatic awareness of neural processes and defensive responses to stress. Understanding “what is happening in my nervous system and why I sometimes react uncontrollably.
Connecting to Resources and Deepening Coherence
The experiential workshop allows participants to directly experience what’s going on in their bodies. Active participation fosters a deeper connection to bodily sensations and connecting to resources.
Ability to Self-Regulate
